Robert J. Pless brings a wealth of experience and skills to his clients in providing counsel on commercial transactions, estate planning, and trusts, with over 30 years of experience in representing individuals and businesses in achieving optimal outcomes in complex financial matters. Mr. Pless is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey, and has been consistently recognized by his peers for his outstanding skills and service to his clients, including being awarded a rating of “AV Preeminent,” the highest possible rating in legal ability and ethical standards by the peer review rating service of Martindale - Hubbell.
Mr. Pless began his legal career in 1986 with Coopers and Lybrand, practicing in corporate, real estate and personal financial planning. In late 1987, he joined Harwood Lloyd in Hackensack, New Jersey. In 1994, he and Randal W. Habeeb formed the Hackensack, New Jersey firm of Pless & Habeeb, LLP, where he provided estate planning and commercial transaction counsel to clients throughout Northern New Jersey and beyond. In addition, Mr. Pless has lectured frequently on the law, including serving as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law, where he taught courses on estate planning and taxation. Currently, Mr. Pless serves as "Of Counsel" to complement and support Holden Legal Group, LLC on transactional matters in New York and New Jersey.
